DAVID COLBERT

David Colbert, Jr. is recognized as one of the leading creatives of the next generation, boasting an impressive resume as a gallerist and independent curator. David’s notable achievements include facilitating the first-ever contemporary art gallery designed by Gensler, the world’s largest architectural firm, and having his gallery accepted multiple times to the prestigious Freeze Los Angeles Art Fair. He has curated significant exhibitions, such as the photography exhibition for the Oscar-winning film “Two Distant Strangers” and the photography exhibition for the motion picture “Till,” featuring works by the legendary photographer Gordon Parks. David’s passion for culture has driven him to spearhead unique collaborations, including a notable partnership with the LRG Museum. This project featured a photography exhibition, one-of-a-kind vintage LRG items, and an LRG festival with a panel conversation involving LRG co-founder Robert Woods and esteemed LRG photographers. Additionally, David founded the historic Central Ave Art Walk in partnership with the iconic L.A. Times, which showcased over 20 fine artists and was hosted by legendary actress Wendy Raquel, with a live performance by Buddy. David’s gallery has been patronized by notable guests and the who’s who of the creative world, such as writer and producer Lena Waithe, legendary actress Nia Long, legendary musician Raphael Saadiq, Los Angeles Dodgers star Mookie Betts, and iconic artist Mark Bradford. DELANEY GEORGE

Delaney George, a native of New Orleans, is a multifaceted artist known for her profound contributions to the world of photography and visual storytelling. As a photographer, director, and visual artist, she passionately delves into the black femme narrative, skillfully bringing it to life through meticulously conceptualized photoshoots. Drawing inspiration from dreams and visions, George’s work is a compelling exploration of nostalgia, femininity, and reimagined history.

Her art has earned a special place in the world of fine art photography, offering a contemporary tribute to the past while simultaneously creating a sanctuary for underrepresented figures. George’s portfolio is celebrated in public collections, prominently featured in spaces like Gallery 90220, The New Orleans Museum of Art, and the Martine Chaisson Gallery.

Notably, Delaney George has graced prestigious exhibitions, including the groundbreaking “TILL: Impact of Images,” where her work stood shoulder to shoulder with iconic photographers such as Gordon Parks and Kwame Brathwaite. She is also at the forefront of contemporizing photos for the official Ernest Withers archive of historical photographs, set to debut in March 2023.
